Understanding Our Adult Treatment Techniques
Kinesio tape was designed to emulate human skin; it is comfortable, can be worn several days in a row, and can be safely and effectively used during all of your activities of daily living. The unique tension technology tells your body to facilitate or relax muscle movement. (work work work or rest rest rest). Additionally, this tension technology can be applied with various techniques to decrease pain, decrease bruising, move lymphatic fluid, mobilize scars and more.
A unique approach to releasing fascial restrictions, where you treat the opposite direction of the restriction. For example, if your left leg is the issue we would work on your right. It is a very gentle approach that does not cause any discomfort, but don’t worry it is working and very effective.
A Chinese Medicine 'scraping' technique. Gua meaning to rub and Sha referring to the redness the technique brings up. The redness is superficial broken capillaries which are anti-inflammatory, immune stimulation, and bring healing to the tissue. This technique is performed using a flat stone over the ailed body part.
A Chinese Medicine technique which uses special cups to create a suction effect on the skin and tissues. The suctioning effect brings blood flow to the area which is anti- inflammatory, immune stimulating, and toxin releasing. In addition it releases fascial restrictions.
This is a technique where cups are applied to the ailed area and either active (patient moves body) or passive (therapist moves cup) to achieve the mobility. This is a very powerful way to release fascial and muscle restrictions. This is for those with chronic ailments who have movement and mobility and are ready to take their recovery to the next level.
